Excellent
If I could give the Shangri-La Paris a million star rating, I would.
If I could give the Shangri-La Paris a million star rating, I would. Pros: What is there not to like about this amazing hotel. Our stay at the Shangri-La Paris was out of this world. From the moment that we were greeted at the door upon our arrival to our departure for the airport, the Shangri-La Paris delivered the utmost in hospitality, professionalism, and service. Reception on admission was efficient and polite. The Shang Palace restaurant was otherworldly - absolutely the best Peking Duck that we have ever had. Le Bar Botaniste was THE perfect place to unwind at the end of the day, and the staff at Le Bar Botaniste were so welcoming. They very quickly got to know you by your name and by your cocktail of choice! And the pool - what a luxurious and delightful place to work out the kinks from walking around Paris all day! Overall, my family and I are so grateful to the hotel and their entire staff - everyone at Reception (especially Jean-Baptiste who worked tirelessly on our behalf), Jennifer at the Pool, all the staff at Le Bar Botaniste. This hotel comes straight out of a bygone age of welcoming elegance. We had an absolutely terrific stay! Cons: What is there not to like about this wonderful hotel.

Very Good
Not all hotel staff are friendly and welcoming.
Not all hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. Pros: The location is convenient. Cons: 1. Housekeeping is not good. We have 4 people staying in the Junior Suite. They gave us 4 bottles of water in the first three days and gave us only 3 bottles in the second last day and gave us none on the last day. When we asked for the water, the staff delivered to us in a frown face and did not even respond to my daughter when she said thank you but just walked away bluntly. 2. Most reception staff are helpful especially Elsa who is very friendly and helpful except for one staff calls Hariden. When I asked him to help me to call a travel agency as I just left some souvenir in the car, he asked me to send them a message myself. He only called after I insisted but he called and hanged up immediately and told me there was nobody answering. Only after I insisted him to call again that he made the call again and waited for someone to answer. His attitude was so bad and completely different to the day when I checked in when there’s another staff from the office watching him all along. A very fake and impolite officer.

Good
Service does not correspond to its hotel brand name and the 5-star level.
Service does not correspond to its hotel brand name and the 5-star level. Pros: The view from the bedroom is good Cons: 1. The service is not good given it is a 5-star hotel. We stayed for 5 nights and checked out for Disneyland and we went back another night staying at the Terrace Suite. However, our previous stored luggages were not put in our Terrace Suite beforehand and we need to wait for almost 45 minutes before our luggages finally came. 2. Only 2 teabags were left in the room. Obviously the room service has not refilled before we checked in. When we asked for some teabags, they gave us teabags which were all opened without package already. We just left all of them on the table. Very strange. Never see giving opened teabags in any hotel. 3. No breakfast order form in the room until we ask.

Poor
Pros: It’s terrible experience at such a 5 star hotel. We stayed for 2 nights but the 2nd nights evening totally water for the bathroom was shut down due to the property problem. We couldn’t take a shower and even flush the toilet. The hotel knew the problem earlier but they just deliver a letter to the room “no water for the maintenance from midnight to 5 am” then, they continued to shut down the water afterword since they couldn’t repair. The smell was terrible too. They didn’t offer to change the hotel under the illegal conditions before that’s happened. Can you imagine no water at the hotel? They shouldn’t operate while maintenance. I want they refund for the night.
