Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 22 August 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

HosPet.eu is a European platform for finding, reviewing and booking places that genuinely welcome pets. These terms form the contract between you and HosPet.eu when you use the site, create an account, publish a review or make a booking. Contact: info@hospet.eu. How we handle your personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. Our role

For properties bookable here, we act as an intermediary: the accommodation contract is between you and the property, fulfilled through our travel partner Nuitée / LiteAPI. The property provides the stay, sets the price, the pet policy and the cancellation conditions. For properties that only link out, we simply point you to the property's own booking channel and are not part of that transaction. We are not a package travel organiser under Directive (EU) 2015/2302 unless a page says so explicitly.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 16 and give accurate details. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse. You can close your account whenever you like from your profile; we may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

4. Prices and what is included

Prices are shown in the currency you select, with taxes and mandatory fees indicated before you confirm. Pet fees are often charged by the property on arrival and are shown as such when we know them. Availability and prices come from live supplier data and can change until the moment you confirm. If an obvious error means a price is clearly wrong, we may correct it or cancel the booking and refund you in full.

5. Booking, payment, changes and cancellation

Your booking is confirmed when you receive our confirmation email with a booking reference. Payment is processed by our payment provider through a secure portal; card details never reach our servers.

Changes and cancellations follow the policy of the rate you booked, shown before you pay and repeated in your confirmation. Where the rate allows it you can amend or cancel from your booking page. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. If the property cannot honour the booking, we work to find an equivalent alternative or refund you in full.

6. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Under Art. 16(l) of the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation booked for a specific date or period. That is why your cancellation rights are the ones in the rate policy in section 5. For services we sell directly and that are not date-bound, the 14-day withdrawal right applies as normal and you can exercise it by writing to info@hospet.eu. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in these terms.

7. Pets

Pet policies, allowed species, sizes, numbers and fees, are set by each property and can change. We list a property only when its own official channel confirms that pets are welcome, and we say what we verified. Always confirm the details with the property before travelling, especially for large dogs, several pets, or animals other than cats and dogs. You remain responsible for your pet, for any damage it causes and for complying with the property's house rules and with national rules on pet travel and documents.

8. Reviews and content you publish

Reviews must describe a genuine, first-hand experience. We do not accept paid or incentivised reviews and we do not publish fake ones, in line with Directive (EU) 2019/2161. We check reviews for obvious abuse before publication and remove content that is unlawful, defamatory, offensive, off-topic or personal data about someone else. Pet scores are computed only from real reviews that mention pets, never from an editorial guess.

You keep ownership of what you write and grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it on the platform and in our own communications about it. You can delete your review at any time. If we remove your content or restrict your account, we tell you the reason and you can reply to us at info@hospet.eu.

9. Acceptable use and our intellectual property

Do not scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service, resell our content, or use it to break the law. The HosPet.eu name, design, texts and code are ours or our licensors'; property photos and descriptions belong to their owners and are shown under licence from our suppliers.

10. Availability of the service

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Property information comes from third parties and we cannot guarantee it is complete or up to date. Maintenance and supplier outages happen.

11. Liability

We are liable for damage caused by our own failure to act with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking, and we are not liable for what happens at the property, which is the property's responsibility. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under the law of your country of residence.

12. Complaints and dispute resolution

Tell us first: info@hospet.eu. We aim to reply within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it, as an EU consumer you can turn to an alternative dispute resolution body under Directive 2013/11/EU, or bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service changes or the law does. We publish the new version here with its date and, for material changes, we tell you in advance. Bookings already confirmed keep the terms that applied when you made them.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the European Union member state in which the operator is established, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your own country of residence, which always continue to apply to you.
