Hotel West-End

Nice but not the same Pros: I used to say this was my favorite hotel in the world and recommend it wholeheartedly. I will not be doing that anymore unfortunately. I’m not sure, maybe there has been a change it management. The staff at the front desk are excellent as always. But there are fewer amenities and the attitude seems different. For example, small things like no complimentary water in the room — paid a lot for a small bottle of water from fridge. The sink and bathtub were very slow to drain. Items were quickly out of stock at breakfast. Also, we had to change rooms mid-stay due to some mixup. Make sure to always book a superior room or you may end up with an interior room whose window isn’t to the outdoors. The rooms were hot and the AC either didn’t work or we weren’t working the thermostat properly. Never been a problem before. These are things that were never an issue the last five visits, but I definitely think they are trying to eliminate extras to save money. I hope this was a one-off, but time to try something else This hotel was such a treasure and I’m really disappointed with this experience. There was a dog in the room next door that barked a lot.

Pros: The stuff is so nice and kind. The room was very large and very clean. Location is great walking distance to everywhere. And all the way pet friendly! Cons: Breakfast can be better
