Hôtel Bel Ami

Room I reserved was given to someone else Pros: I booked a deluxe room 6 months in advance and requested a street facing room. When we arrived I was told I was “upgraded” to the apartment with a terrace. This room was not an upgrade as the bed was a queen (deluxe is king) and because the room was divided there was little space for luggage storage. Also the terrace was terrible. It is in an alleyway and looks directly into the office window of a neighboring building where a man was on the phone. We could not open the drapes cause the man was there so the room was very dark. When I asked for the room I booked, the deluxe, Ibrahim spent more than 10 minutes trying to convince me the terrace apartment was a better room. I was told people wait months for the terrace room (odd since it was available) and that the bed was a French king. Finally Ibrahim admitted the room I reserved was unavailable as it had been given to someone else but they could move me the next day. The deluxe room was much better, larger with a street view. Maybe Ibrahim believed the terrace room was better, I doubt it, but even if he did I did not and that should have ended the inquiry. The hotel is in a good location but service was not five star. Hidden Gem on the Left Bank Pros: I highly recommend the Bel Ami Hotel. The staff and concierge, especially Christoph, are local experts. The rooms are clean, fresh and quite. The location is ideal and close to all the Left Bank favorites. The breakfast buffet is top notch and accommodates gluten free. Overall, I this is a lovely choice for your stay in Paris. I stayed 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

My favorite hotel in Saint Germain des Pres Paris Pros: I’ve been coming to this hotel for over 20 years. With its great location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and professional concierge service, I always leave completely satisfied. It would be even better if you had a system that recognized and valued guests who have been coming for so many years — and if you offered them a small gesture, such as an upgrade when available or something special, it would further strengthen their loyalty.

super gelegen, freundliches Personal, aber das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Pros: das Frühstückbuffet war sehr gut. das zimmer extrem klein, neben einem lingerieraum, wo Ersatzbetten etc. gelagert wurden. morgens um 07.00 ging der lärm los. Cons: Die Grösse des Zimmers, kein Deluxe Zimmer.

A Great Discovery in our Favorite Neighborhood Pros: Our first visit to Bel Ami, but hopefully not our last. Comfortable and welcoming, with a competent staff sincerely interested in our comfort and satisfaction. Worth a visit!

Amazing Hotel Pros: The Hotel Bel Ami is an amazing hotel. Everyone is very pleasant and extremely helpful. The rooms are updated and lovely and the location is perfect. Our family of 4 had an amazing trip and we are planning to make this a yearly trip and we will not stay anywhere but The Hotel Bel Ami in the future.

Exceptional stay at Hotel Bel Ami! Pros: Our experience at Hotel Bel Ami was exceptional from beginning to end. Every staff member was pleasant, proactive, and genuinely attentive, anticipating needs with effortless professionalism. We visited Paris with family and friends to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday, and the team, especially Ambre and the Concierge team, went above and beyond — thoughtfully recognizing the occasion in the most memorable way. Even the bartenders exemplified this spirit of hospitality: professional, engaging, and intuitive, they made each cocktail experience both fun and refined. Breakfast was superb — fresh, beautifully presented, and abundant. When the hotel learned of our early departure, they graciously offered breakfast to go, another thoughtful touch that reflected their commitment to guest care. Hotel Bel Ami truly represents Parisian hospitality at its finest. Highly recommended.
